Morgan Frost

Team: 2019-20 Ottawa Senators
Team Explanation
Sens need a true 1C on the team moving forward, and it's unclear if and when anyone in the system will be able to fill that role. The Flyers already have too much money invested up front and will have to make a decision on Frost's next contract in the same year they'll have to re-sign Couturier and Giroux. I think Giroux would probably actually be the casualty there, but if the Sens make a push before Frost lights it up in the NHL, they'll have a shot at prying him away.

Frost gets to start the year as the 3C in Ottawa, and will move up as he's ready for more time.

That's a high price to pay for someone who's never played in the NHL.

A 26th overall, a top 30 pick and likely a 32nd overall. Yeah that is a lot

Not a bad idea if Philly doesn't have room for him but yeah that's a big over pay

We're still early enough in this rebuild that I'd be more comfortable playing the waiting game to see how they fill that 1C hole. They could get Byfield, Perfetti or Lundell in the draft and solve the problem right there. Plus there's always the Brady Tkachuk route. I really think that's something I would seriously consider. He's big and strong and was really strong in faceoff, especially for a rookie. He keeps working on it and he could be an excellent Centre.
