When*

Also I can't see Dallas being interested in Ceci at all.

No way stars agree even ignoring cap hit. A 5th round on it's own is the best we may get. I say send him to Winnipeg returning their 7th for their 5th.

Why should Ceci be bad? But if he is, no team is trading for his 4.5m cap hit. Leafs don't really have NHL good or NHL ready replacements even if Ceci isn't performing to NHL standards.

That's exactly the thing. If he's bad, no one will take him unless there's a sweetener thrown in because the Leafs can't afford having a $4.5m player not producing. It'll be Marleau all over.

Hes here to stay. No sweeteners and no nothing. Kid was 15th pick, TML are trying to figure if it was OTT effect. Can he be worse then Hainsey ? I dont think so and it was mostly a coin flip difference last year who will win 1st Round till 7th Game meltdown and Cassidy outplaying Babcock again.

Do i claim they would win Stanley ? No, but as much as BOS, TML were fairly on the way to reach where BOS ended.

Will they win Stanley soon ? Nope again, cause Matthews pulled 2M overpayment and Marner followed, so those 4M will cost TML acquiring #1-2D, but at least ppl that are claiming thats not overpayment but "New Era" will have comodity to watch Matthews for next 5 years, hopefully for more then 60 Games per Season.

Might as well go for Griffin Reinhart too...he was a 4th pick... I hear he's available....

i heard TML didnt want to waste Zaitsev trade for another long-term mistery, so they skipped Reinhart.....

I'm not too sure Dallas would do this ... more likely Honka is moved for a pick IMO.

You're getting in too deep here. I wasn't saying they should or will trade him if he's bad, I was just implying it won't be easy or cheap to get rid of him if they decide to, that's all.

I got that, just making a point he wont be traded......they are screwed to stick with what they have now....

Only way I see him traded and not costing them much extra is if his salary is part of a larger deal for a non-playoff bound team to send them a rental defenseman. That would make sense, but otherwise I agree with your assessment. Trades out of desperation rarely end well.
